Keep shooting at the skies. Another Star Worlds Arcade classic game alert.

To kick off our 25th year in business, we wanted to bring in a true classic game to help us Celebrate the Arcades and the aliens win it.

Many of our gamers do not remember the birth of video arcade games simply because they were not born themselves yet. Back in the 70's, this alien invading game took the world by storm. Space Invaders is truly one of the most popular machines released by Chicago's Midway Mfg. in 1978. In the US, machines started popping up everywhere from arcades, bars, bowling centers, restaurants and even local grocery stores. We now offer our outer space fans Deluxe Space Invaders, the sequel of the ever-popular Space Invaders.

The game is pretty simple, you just use your laser cannon to shoot the rows of space invaders as they march back and forth and advance down toward you. In the early stages you have bases that you can hide behind for cover. You and the invaders can shoot the bases away as the game progresses. Often, a flying saucer will travel across the top of the screen and can be shot for added bonus points.

On a personal note, Space Invaders was the first arcade game I owned. As small and cramped as my bedroom was as a kid, my Space Invaders and Asteroids sat proudly right next to my bed. (LOL) When the moonlight came through my window, it made the out lines of the invaders on the side of the cabinet look really awesome. :)
